The panels are extremely easy to move, transport and install thanks to their reduced weight. The lightness of the panels is also extremely rigid once the structural micro-concrete has been applied. This guarantees their integrity and its response to the use they are intended for.

The weight per metre of the panels before the application of the micro-concrete or the mortar varies according to the type: From 3.5 Kg/m² up to 5 Kg/m². Such lightness makes it possible for just one operator to move more than 3 m² with great ease and without problems.

Several tests carried out in very diverse conditions in various countries together with varying levels of training for the workforces have shown there is a real reduction on construction time in comparison with the traditional construction systems.

Numerous laboratory tests carried out in Spain and other countries around the world have brought to light the high resistance to load actions on TECNOPANEL. For normal buildings, since the loads are distributed across many elements, the work tension of the concrete tends to be much lower than the maximum allowed for that material.

- THERMAL:
The total thermal resistance K value for a wall composed of a panel formed by 4cm tic expanded polystyrene with a density of 15 Kg/m³ and its two faces with a projection of 3cm of micro-concrete (density of 15 kg/m³) the K thermal transmission is equal to 0.49 W/m² º K. such thermal insulation values far surpass the K values of walls produced normally using a traditional system and this gives an energy saving which could, to give an indication, be close to 40%, both for heating and cooling cycles.

 The acoustic insulation of TECNOPANEL is one of the best advantages of this construction system.

Fireproof:

The expanded polystyrene used to make the panels is of the Euroclass E type. Fireproofing tests carried out on walls built using the TPR80 panel have show that resistance is more than > RF 120.

Seismic-resistant:

Laboratory tests carried out on a prototype of two floors on true scale have shown that the structure resists demands superior to the effect of a first category earthquake without any damage whatsoever.

The results obtained with these tests are scientific proof of what nature has already proven, that is to say; many buildings built using the system have successfully withstood the most severe of quakes in many countries of the world.

Hurricane resistant:

Buildings built with the TECNOPANEL system in high cyclone risk areas have, over a period of two years, shown their capacity to resist the passage of the most devastating cyclones, which empirically confirms what had already been verified in calculations, that is to say; the high resistance of TECNOPANEL buildings to the complex demands and pressures put out by cyclones.

Choice of finishings:

Walls built using TECNOPANEL can be finished with any type of finishing. It is possible to apply a covering directly onto the projected micro-concrete or, alternatively traditional paints can be used on the grey concrete or applied onto smoothed plaster. In summary, it is possible to apply any type of coverings or finishings without limits.
